Or his Assigns, doe within One year next after the decease of the sd Children or either of them, pay
or cause to be paid unto the aforesd Coll. William: Culbourne, or his Assigns the debt or debts due unto
the party or parties So deceased to the use of the Children of the sd Richard:Bright, which shall then

Contra. be Objected agt him in their Maties behalf the Second tuesday in August.And whereupon

John: Lynch. Maties Attorney comes and Sayes that mr Peter Dent of this County Gent had Several goods and
Servt to mr Law Crawford B Commodities being at the Plantation belonging to mr Howard of Pocomoke River within the
- - - - - - - - - - - Jurisdiction of this Court: and in May and in the begining of June last past the sd Peter Dents
Storehouse at the sd Plantation was broken open and out of the Same Stolen and Conveyed away
about Six gallons of Rum and 12lb. of Suger, and the sd goods So Stolen upon the 3d Satterday of May the sd John:Lynch &
and George Negro was apprehended coming from the sd Plantation with a Gourd full of Rum and Some Suger, the quan(tity)
at that time unknowne, and upon Enquiry and examination of the sd Lynch and Negro George, they did much vary
in
their discourse & examinations, So that it is evident that the sd Lynch and Nigro did felloniously Steal & carry
away the sd Rum and Suger to the value of 300lb of tobo. pounds of tobacco. Contrary to the good laws & institutious of
this their Maties Province, the Scandall and evill example of the good people of this Province & agt the publick peace

their Maties Attorney Craves judgmt may be entered agt the sd Offenders, and that they Suffer the pains & punishment
due for Such Offences according to Law. Ja. Sangster. Clr Indtmts.

The aforesd Indictment being Read in Court. to which the sd Lynch said guilty. telling ye Court
that Hough Conner Sent him for the Rum. upon which judgmt. was referrd till next Court, & the
Said Lynch Ordered then to appear. whereupon mr Lawrence Crawford did assume in Court to produce ye
Said Lynch at time asd. promising that if sd Lynch died in the interim yt he ye sd Crawford would pay all
damages.

Heugh Conner. Being present at the Barr in Court when the sd John: Lynch was Examined, was
Ordered by this Court to be put into the Sheriffs Custody, till he gave Security for his appearance next Court
to answer what should should be objected agt him on behalf of their Maties &c. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Whereupon Came the abovesd Heugh Conner & by Recogniz. did acknowledge him self indebted to their
Maties
in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling money of England, and his Security ffrancis: Joyce in the Sum of five
pounds like money due to be leavied on their goods & Chattels Lands & tennemts for their Maties uses &c.
The Condition of which Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Heugh Conner doe make his personall -
appearance before their Maties Justices of the Peace at the next County Court to be holden the 2d tuesday in
November, then & there to answer to their Maties &c. that then this Recognizance to be void & of none effect
