149 At A County Cort: held the 11th: day of August in the Third year of theire Maties: Reigne William & Mary by the grace of god of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queene defendrs: of y faith &c Annoqe Dom. 1691 The Cort: being Call=d Commrs: present that then Satt were Collo: David Browne: Major Robert King mr: James Round: mr: Samuell Hopkins George Layfeild Esqr. Capta: John King This Day mr. James Sanster brought his Servant Jane Drewe before the Court desiring of theire worps to Judge of her age She being Transported into this Province without any Indentr After a full viewe had and taken of the Said Servant This Cort: doth adjudge her to be above fifteene & under eighteene years of age ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This day to witt y 11th: day of August Annoqe Dom: 1691 / mr: Roger Wolford of this County gentl. Tooke the usuall oath of Justice of the Peace for this County as alsoe the oath of alleigance & abhorrence, The Said mr: Roger Wolford Setts in Cort: with the rest of the Commrs: mr: fra: Hopkins also mr:Peter Dent attorney at Law this day acquaints & Shewes his Commission to the Cort: That he is Commiss sionated by theire Maties. attorney Generall for this Province of Maryland (Mr. George Plater) To be his Deputie for this County of Somr:Sett This Cors: Considering the Premisses & well weighing the ffaithfullness of mr: James Sangster attorney at Law wch: at present officiates the said office The Cort: desires that he may ffinish what he hath undertaking on behalfe of theire Maties: against any delinquent brought to his knowledge to this day being the 11th: of August 1691: And all Persons Complaints: for the future on behalfe of their Maties: Concernes are to make there affaires knowne unto the Said mr: Peter Dent who is to Manage the Same for & on behalfe of their Maties. for this County of Sommersett; ~ ~ This ffollowing precept was read y Cort: Setting William and Mary by the grace of god of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queene defendrs of the faith &c. To the Commissioners of Sommersett County greeting Because in the record Process & proserving as alsoe in the rendring Judgement and graunting execucon before you in or: Said Court of Somr:Sett County for us and on our behalfe against James Inglish upon a pr:Sentment: Manifest Errors hath hapned to the great Damadge of the Said James Inglish and by his great Complaint wee have received wee willing That the errors if any be Shoulld in due manner be Corrected and full & Speedy, Justice to be done in the Premisses. wee Therefore Comand you that if Judgemt. thereof be rendred Then the record and process of the Judgemt: execucon aforesaid with all things Touching the Same To us before the Justices of our Provinciall Court to be helld at or: Citty of St: Maryes the first Tuesday in october next undr: yor. hands and Seales distintly and openly you Send That inspection of the record being had of the record & proceedings therein Wee may Cause further to be done what of right & according to the Lawes and Constitucon of this our Province ought to be done (what of the right and according to the Laws and Constitucon of this our Province ought to be done) therein hereof you are noe wise to comitt and have you there this writt given at our Citty of St: Maries the Twenty fifth day of July in the Third year of our Reigne &c Annoqe. Dom: 1691 W Taylord Regr: G Plator In prSuance of the within Mentioned precept ordered that the Clerke of this Cort: drawe up the Record and Proceedings here & Send over to the honr:ble Justices of the Provinciall Cort: This following precept was read The Cort: Setting ~ William and Mary by the Grace of god of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queene defendrs of the faith &c.
