98 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitle 1 "Wild Fowl,"
be amended.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the-Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Foard, of Baltimore county, presented the petition of
Messrs E. J B. Moore, G. Austin Carlisle and fifty-nine
other citizens of Harford and Baltimore counties, asking for
such legislation as will compel the Baltimore and Harford
Turnpike Company to place its road in a good and safe con-
dition.
Which was read, and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Also,
^ The petition of C.C. Kinsey, J. Runate and thirty-nine other
citizens of Harford and Baltimore counties, asking for such
legislation as will compel the Baltimore aud Harford Turn-
pike Company, to place its road in a good and safe condition.
Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. Hardcastle presented the petition of James I?. Steele,
of Caroline county, asking compensation for professional
services.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
Mr. Turner presented a petition for pension (from Rebecca
Baxter, a widow of a soldier of the war of 1812
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Linthicum submitted the following message:
By THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 17, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate :
We respectfully invite your Honorable Body to convene
with this House in Joint Assembly, at 12 o'clock, meridian,
this day, in accordance with the Act of Congress of the Ses-
sion of 1865-66, chapter 245, entitled an Act to regulate the
time and manner of holding elections for Senators in Con-
gress.
