Which waa read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Mr. L. A. J. Lamotte presented the petition of Susan
Sharer, widow of Daniel Sharer, soldier of the war of 1812,
asking for a pension.
Also,
The petition of Peter Knight, soldier of the war of 1812,
asking a pension.
Also,
The petition of Mary W. Criswell, asking for a pension.
Also,
The petition of Rachel Roach, asking for a pension.
"Which were severally read, and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
Mr. Parker presented the petition of John B. Richards,
and twenty-eight other citizens of Worcester county, asking
for the passage of the "Ohio Liquor Law."
Also,
The petition of one hundred and three citizens of Canton's
District, Worcester county, asking for an optional liquor
law for said district.
Which were severally read and referred to the Committee-
on Ways and Means.
Mr. Johnson presented the petition of Amos W. Wood-
cock, and eighty-eight other citizens of Wicomico county,
asking that a law be passed making parties owning property
where intoxicating liquors are solely liable to an action of
injury sustained in person or property by reason of such
drinks being sold on said premises.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Goldsborough presented a petition to extend the law
applicable to Dorchester county, Allowing the shooting of
ducks and wild fowl from sink-boats, to all the waters of
Talbot county.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee,
consisting of Messrs. Goldsborough, Butler and Smith.
On motion of Mr. Waller,
Leave was granted to the Committee oa the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries, to introduce "a" bill for the better
protection of oysters in Somerset county,
