On motion of Mr. Franklin, (the rules being suspended,) The House proceeded to the consideration of the Senate bill entitled an Act to release the sureties on the official bonds of Charles Parker, Collector of State taxes for Wor- cester county, for the years, 1866 and 1867, Said bill being upon a third reading, On motion of Mr. Franklin, The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the bill recommitted to the Select Committee reporting the same. The bill, entitled an Act to add an additional aection to Article LIV., of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Land Office," "Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to create a loan to provide for the completion and furnishing of the buildings for the Maryland Hospital at Spring Grove, in Baltimore county, "Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the day, Mr. Jamart moved that the consideration of the order of the day be postponed, and that the House proceed to the con- sideration of House bills entitled to a third. reading. The question being upon concurring in the motion, Mr. Hard castle demanded the yeas and nays. The demand being sustained* the yeas and naya were called, and appealed as follows : AFFIRMATIVE.
