The bill, entitled an Act to refund certain sums of money
erroneously paid into the Treasury of the State by John K.
Harroy, one of the late collectors of county and State taxes
for Baltimore county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Chesa-
peake Warehouse Company of Baltimore City,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act be repeal section 16, of Article
LI., of the Cade of Public General Laws, title "Justices of
the Peace," sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction," and to enact the
following in lien thereof,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to aid in the maintenance of a
Free Infirmary, in connection with the Baltimore College of
Dental Surgery, and to appropriate money therefor,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act relating to goods, wares and mer-
chandise in store and in transit, and to make receipts and
bills of lading therefor negotiable,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1870, chapter
394, entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly of 1867,
chapter' 341, relating to the valuation and assessment of
property in this State.
"Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-tee on "Ways and Means.
Also,
The bill, entitled an* Act to prevent incompetent persons
from conducting business as Pharmacists or venders at retail
drugs, medicines or chemicals for medicinal use in the' City
of Baltimore, and repealing the Act entitled, an Act to pre-
vent incompetent persons from conducting the business of
Druggists or Apothecary in the City of Baltimore, passed at
January Session, 1870, chapter 104.
