Mr McColgan, from the Committee en the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the transfer of certain
land records and extracts of deed's from the office of the Clerk
of the Court of Appeals to the office of the Commissioner of
the Land Office, to repeal section 40, of Article XVIII., of
the Code of Public General Laws, and to repeal section 55,
of the same Article, and to enact a substitute therefor.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle XXVI., of the Code of Public General Laws, in rela-
tion to corporations.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland to the Vestry of Saint Barnabas
Protestant Episcopal Church, Prince George's county, to
hold twenty-eight acres of land attached, on which the said
"church is built.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Chapman, from the Committee on the Judiciary , re-
ported favorably.
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5,
of Article LIIL, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
Landlord and Tenant," sub-title "Tenant Holding Over,"
and to re-enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle V,, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Appeals."
Which was read a first time.
Also, unfavorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle LVII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Limitations of Actions "
The report was adopted.
