Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to
introduce a bill to repeal Article XCV. of Public General
Laws, entitled "Usury," and re-enactthe same with amend-
ments.
On motion of Mr. Turner,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore County delegation to
introduce a bill to make valid the action of the Local Board
of Supervisors of the First Road District of Baltimore
County in condemning and opening a road for public travel
leading into the Frederick Turnpike road in Baltimore
County.
On motion of Mr. Foster,
Leave was granted to the Select Committee on that subject,
to introduce a bill to amend the Police Bill governing the
Police Force of Baltimore City, so as to increase the pay of
the policemen and ceiUin officers of said Force.
On motion of Mr. Chaisty,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal Article LXI. of Public General
Laws, title "Mechanics' Lien," and re-enact the same with
amendments.
On motion of Mr. Smith,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Dor-
chester county to re-assess the real estate of Vachel Keene,
purchased at the sale of William C. Huffington.
Mr. Langrell, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
"favorably a bill, entitled an Act regulating fences in Wicom-
ico county.
Which was read a first time
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal the fifth section of an
Act, entitled an Act to incorporate the Western Avenue Com-
pany, passed January Session, 1860, chapter 112, and to
enact the following in lieu thereof,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
