1872.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. IS
Mr. Steele presented the petition ofW. K. Sarey, of Fred-
erick county, asking a change in the boundary line of Fred-
-erick and Carroll counties.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Steele, H. II. La-
motte, Polk, Miller and Phillips.
Mr. Baldwin presented the petition of Wm. J. Pearce, Dennis M. Mathews and Joseph D. Dance and one hundred other
citizens of Baltimore and Harford counties, asking the pas-
sage of a law directing the County Commissioners of Balti-
more and Harford counties to build a Bridge over the Little
Gunpowder Falls, at or near Joshua R. Green's.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Baldwin, Riley,
Void, Litzinger and Turner.
Mr. Wilmer presented the petition of George E. Leary and
others, of Kent county, asking for repeal of Law prohibiting
Slashing Fish in Kent county.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Wilmer, Hurtt
and Hardcastle.
Mr. Banks submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Librarian furnish the (three) Reporters
of the Public Press, in this House, with such stationery and
postage stamps as they may need, but, in either case not to
exceed to each the amount due each member.
Which was adopted.
Mr, Polk submitted the following order :
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that L. A. J.
Lamotte is detained from his seat on account of special busi-
ness.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Kirk submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Librarian furnish (50) fifty copies each
of the Code from 1861 to 1870, for the use of the members of
this House; the same to be returned to the Library at the
end of the Session.
Which woe adopted.
Mr. Rowe submitted the following order :
Ordered, That leave of absence be granted Mr. Porter
from to-day's Session.
Which was adopted.
