AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
At the end of section 1, add the following proviso: Pro-
vided, nothing in this Act shall be construed to prevent the
aforesaid Clerk from granting license to any person or per-
sona now selling fermented liquors, or lager beer, within the
Aforesaid prescribed limits.

The bill as amended was then read a third time, and re-
jected for want of a Constitutional majority by yeaa and nays,
