On motion of Mr. Staylor,
Leave was granted, to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend Article XCIII, of
the Code of Public General Laws, by adding an additional
.section thereto.
Mr. Griswold, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred
The bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Board of Man-
agers of the Dolan Children's Aid Society, under the charge
of the Young Catholics' Friend Society of Baltimore,
Reported the same with proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 8, after the word "property" insert the
words, "in all not to exceed the amount of one hundred
thousand dollars."
Said bill being upon a third reading,
The amendment proposed by the committee was then
adopted (by unanimous consent,) and the further considera-
tion of the bill was informally postponed.
Also, reported unfavorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 1, of Article
LXXII, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Part-
nerships Limited," and to re-enact the same with amend-nents. . -
'The question recurring upon the adoption of the unfavor-
able report of' the committee,
Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City, moved that the bill be sub-
stituted for the unfavorable report of the committee.
Decided in the negative.
The unfavorable report was then adopted.
Also, unfavorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 882, 883, 884,
885, 886, 887, 888 and 889, of Article IV., of the Code of
Public Local Laws, and to re-enact the following sections in
lieu thereof.
The report was adopted.
Also, favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to legalize the supplements to the
Maryland Code containing the Acts of the General Assembly
passed at the Sessions of 1868 and 1870, arranged in Articles
