his election, and concur therein,

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
, Mr. Polk, from the Committee on the Library, submitted
the following
JOINT RESOLUTION.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That his
Excellency, the Governor be and is hereby respectfully re-
quested to cause to be transmitted to Samuel H. Kerfoot,
Esq., a former citizen of this State, and now a resident of the
City of Chicago, one copy of the Maryland Reports, includ-
ing all Reports from Harris and McHenry to 33d Maryland,
one copy of the Code of Public General and Public Local
Laws, and all the supplements to the Code (including that of
1870, hot yet legalized), Maryland Chancery Reports, Evans*
Practice, Alexander's Chancery Practice, Barroll's Chancery
Practice, Alexander's British Statutes and Bozman's History
of Maryland, with a request that said Samuel H. Kertoot,
Esq., will present the same, on behalf of this State, to the
library of the Bench and Bar of Chicago, or to whatever li-
brary association in said city may exist in connection with
and for the use of the Bench and Bar of said city.
Which was read a first time,
And referred to the Committee on the Library.
Mr Griswold submitted the following
JOINT RESOLUTION.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Librarian of the State be and lie is hereby directed to present
to the Maryland Historical Society, on behalf of the State,
the boobs and documents hereinafter named to complete their
record of the Legislation of Maryland; Provided, said books
and documents are now in the Library,.and duplicates are
retained for the Library.

1850, 1852, 1853, 1854.
Maryland State Documents for 1838 and 1839.
Maryland Public Documents for 1842, 1844,1852, 1853,
