442 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 19, The bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to adjust and settle the accounts of Benjamin F. May, Oscar Hayden, Henry B. Jones, and William H. Pitcher, late grain inspectors in the City of Baltimore, Was read a second time, and On motion of Mr. Streett, Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. The bill, entitled an Act to refund to the Western National Bank of Baltimore, certain taxes paid in error, Was read a second time, and On motion of Mr. Stone, Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. The bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Article XI., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Fred- erick County," requiring certain duties of the County Com- missioners and County Collector of said county, in regard to any sum or sums of money which is or shall be appropriated for the use of any person or persons in said county, and not paid to such person or persons during the term of office of said County Collector, said section to come in after sec- tion 349,-and to be section 350 of said Article, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The following Acts having passed both branches of the General Assembly, were this day submitted to His Excel- lency, the Governor, for his approval : An Act making sundry appropriations for the support of the government for the year ending the first day of January, 1873. Also, , An Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti- more to issue the bonds of said city to an amount not exceed- ing two hundred thousand dollars, as provided by an ordinance of the said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, entitled "an Ordinance for the extension of Patterson Park," ap- proved June 23, 1871. Also, An Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-more to issue the bonds of said City to an amount not ex- ceeding five hundred thousand dollars, as provided by an or- dinance of the said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, entitled "An ordinance to authorize the issue of the bonds of the city of Baltimore, to provide funds for the building of the new City Hall." Approved February 8th, '1872. |
