The House then proceeded to the consideration of
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to further amend the char-
ter of the Baltimore Fells* Point Hebrew Friendship Con-
gregation, in the City of Baltimore.
Said bill being upon a third reading,
On motion of Mr. dark, of Baltimore City,
The farther consideration thereof was postponed, and the:
bill recommitted to the Committee on Corporations.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
The bill, entitled an Act authorizing Dr. Wm. Stewart,,
guardian of John Walter, a minor, to pass his final account
with the Orphans' Court of Somerset county.
Also, delivered
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 193, of Article-
Ill., Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore County," sub-title-
"Sheriffs."
Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
'county delegation.
On motion of Mr. Langrell, (the rules being suspended
the House proceeded to the consideration of
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, chapter 44, of the Act of 1870, entitled*
an Act to repeal- and re-enact with amendments, section.
170, Article XXX., Public General Laws, title "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Rivers." '
Said bill being upon a third reading,
Pending which,
Mr. Langrell submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.,
Sub-section 170, in line 15, after the word "City," insert
one words: If the offence was committed in the City of Bal-
timore.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,

The hour of 1 o'clock having arrived, the House proceeded?
