406 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 15,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 212, of Article
IV. of the Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore, title
"Elections," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Elections.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to revive, re-enact and amend cer-
tain sections of the Act passed January Session, 1852, chap-
ter 3.16, entitled an Act to authorize the appointment of a
Commissioner to take testimony to provide for the recording
of copies of wills and other papers, of which the originals
were destroyed by the burning of the Courthouse in Dorches-ter county, and to remedy, as far as practicable, the evils
likely to ensue from the destruction of the records of said
county.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the Dorches-
ter delegation.
Mr. Clark, of Baltimore City, Chairman of a Select Com-
mittee, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
' Council of Baltimore to issue the bonds of said" City to an
amount not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars, as provided by an ordinance of the said Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, entitled "an Ordinance to authorize the issue of
the bonds of the City of Baltimore, to provide funds for the
building of the new City Hall," approved February 8th,
1872.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, moved that the bill be read
a second time this day, in accordance with the provisions of
the Constitution, Article III., section 27.
