On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill, amending the Act of 1870, chapter 203, in'
corporating the Elkton and Massey's Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Porter,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, entitled an Act to legalize the bequest of
Andreas Steinlein to the St. Peter's and St. Paul's Catholic
Church, of Cumberland.
On motion of Mr. Markland,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the -\ associated Fire-
men's Insurance Company of the City of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Jamart,
Leave wag granted to the Committee on Manufaoctures to
introduce a bill to abolish shoemaking in the Penitentiary.
On motion of Mr. Shipley,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the Treasurer of Maryland to pay to
John K. Houng, Collector, $53 42 for overpaid State taxes.
On motion of Mr. Groome,
Leave wag granted, to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 25, of Article XXXVIII.,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled " Fees of Officers, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. T. H. Hamilton,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to repeal certain
laws relating to the measuring of oysters in the City of Bal-
timore, and. to re-enact the same with amendments.
Mr. Stone, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 4, of an Act passed
at January Session, 1868, chapter 466, entitled an Act to
run, define and mark the dividing line between Prince
George's and Montgomery counties, and also to repeal the
Act passed at the January Session, 1870, chapter 471, relat-
ing to the same subject, and to re-enact the same so M to
read as follows.
Which was read a first time.
