JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
No. 11.
Requesting the Governor to employ counsel to
bring suit against the Baltimore Equitable Society,
to recover the amount due by said Baltimore Equit-
able Society, on an insurance policy issued by said
society, on one of the State Tobacco Warehouses in
Baltimore city.
Be it resolved by the General Assemble of Maryland) id,
That the Governor of this State be and is hereby re-
quested, if in his judgment the same is advisable, to
employ counsel to bring suit against the Baltimore
Equitable Society, to recover from said Baltimore
Equitable Society the amount due on a policy of in-
surance, on one of the State Tobacco Warehouses
situated in Baltimore city, which warehouse was, on
or about the nineteenth day of July, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy, destroyed by fire; prodded, no
compensation be allowed said counsel, except the
same be paid out of the amount recovered against
the said company.
