In sub-section 17, section 89, after the word <f imprisoned,"
insert the words: in the Penitentiary House of the State.
Which was adopted.
The bill, as amended, was then read a. second, time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of the next
order of the day, being
The bill, entitled an Act to add additional sections to the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punish-
ments," which shall be sections 210, 211,212, 213 and 214
of the said Article.
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Griswold,
The bill was recommitted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of the next
order of the day, being
The Senate bill, entitled an Act to provide for the repair
sand improvement of the public roads in Calvert county.
Said bill being upon a third reading,
Pending which,
Mr. Bond submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 3, line six, strike out the words "The Court-house door," and insert:
"Some central place ia each election district."
Which was adopted. '
The bill as amended was then read a third time and passed
