if the person so arrested cannot give bail-bond, he
shall be taken before a Justice of the Peace, to be
dealt with according to law.
SEC. 2. And he it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 434.
AN" ACT to refund to Francis M. Goddard, Collec-
tor First District, Saint Mary's county; Charles
M. Fowler, Collector Fourth District, Saint Mary's
county; and to Richard J. Marshall, of Saint
Mary's county, moneys erroneously paid into the
treasury.
SUCTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby i
authorized and required to issue his warrant to thel
Treasurer to pay to Francis M. Goddard, Collector1
of Taxes for the First District, Saint Mary's county,
the sum of forty-one dollars and forty-one cents; and
to Charles M. Fowler, Collector of Taxes for the
Fourth District, Saint Mary's county, the sum of
twelve dollars and seventy-five cents, for moneys
erroneously paid by them into the treasury; and to
Richard J. Marshal], of Saint Mary's county, the
sum of fifty dollars out of the oyster fund, being
amount due him as informer on amount collected by
the State's Attorney of Saint Mary's county from
Doctor J. W. Hebb, Justice of the Peace, erroneously
paid into the treasury.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take]
effect from the date of its passage.
