CHAPTER 431.
AN ACT to release the bonds of captains of mili-
tary companies from liability for the non-return of
uniforms in certain specified cases.
SUCTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in all cases where any member or:
members of the military companies of this State
shall have served for the full term of enlistment of
three years, and shall have failed to return his or
their uniforms to the captain or captains of his or
their respective commands, the bond or bonds of
said captain or captains be and the same are hereby
released and discharged from all liability for damages
for the non-return of the same.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 432.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pur-
chase additional furniture for the use of the Gov-
ernor's Mansion, and to appoint a committee to
superintend the same.
SECTION 1. -Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of three thousand dollars,
or so much thereof as may be required, be and the
same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of fur-
nishing additional furniture for the use of the
Governor's Mansion.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That William Pinkney
Whyte, John R. Blake and James L. Clarke be and
they are hereby appointed a committee for the pur-
pose of purchasing such additional furniture as they
