five, one hundred and thirty-six, one hundred and
thirty-seven, one hundred and thirty-eight, one hun-
dred and thirty-nine, one hundred and forty, one
hundred and forty-one, one hundred and forty-two,
and one hundred and forty-three, of article twenty-
one, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Washington county," sub-titled "Hagerstown," and
the Act of Assembly passed at January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter two hundred
and fifty-eight, entitled "An Act to amend article
twenty-one, of the Code of Public Local Laws, enti-
tled "Washington county," by amending and re-
enacting certain sections and adding thereto further
sections," be and the same are hereby repealed, and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
112. The said town is divided into five wards, and the
qualified voters, who have resided in their respective
wards for at least six months before the day of elec-
tion, shall also, on the second Monday of April an-
nually, elect one person from their respective wards,
who is, on the day of election, a voter in his ward for
which he may be elected, as councilman of said town;
but no person shall vote for any person as council-
man, who does not, on the day of election, reside in
the same ward where the voter himself resides.
113. Any two Justices of the Peace having their
offices in said town, shall be the judges of election,
and before they act shall take an oath that they will
fairly and impartially act as judges of said election,
