On motion of Mr. McColgan,
The further consideration thereof was informally post-
poned.
Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,
The Senate bill, entitled a supplement to the Act passed
by the General Assembly of Maryland at December Session,
1831-2, chapter 54, entitled an Act to incorporate the Fred-
erick and Woodsborough Turnpike Road Company.
Which was read a second time.
Also,
The Senate bill, entitled a further supplement to the Act
entitled an Act to incorporate the Fredericktown Savings'
Institution, passed at December Session, 1827, chapter 143,
of the General Assembly of Maryland, repealing the 5th
section thereof, and re-enacting the same with amendments.
Which was read a second time.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the German Ameri-
can Bank of Baltimore.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
to whom was referred certain petitions praying the passage
of a law to tax the stock, &c., of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company, reported back the same, and asked, that
the Committee be discharged from the further consideration
of the same, and that said petitions be referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.
The petitions were so referred and the Committee dis-
charged.
Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
to whom was referred certain petitions, praying for relief
from the charges in local tariff on freights by the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad Company, reported back the same, and
asked that the Committee be discharged from the further con-
sideration thereof, and that said petitions be referred to
Select Committee of three, hereafter to he appointed on that
sublet.
Also, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the following
order:
Ordered, That & Select Committee of three be appointed,
to whom shall be referred the petitions asking for a modifi-
cation of local tolls on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
