Joseph M. Simmons and James Bovce, be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered to build and
erect across the Spesutia Island Narrows, at tlieir
own expense at or near the present ferry, termi-
nating on their own lands, the said bridge to be free
of tolls; provided, that yhey the said parties shall put in
said bridge a good and sufficient beam over the main
channel of said narrows not less than twenty-two feet
in width, and of such other dimensions as will admit of
the free and unobstructed passage of all boats, scows,
vessels and other crafts that may navigate the waters of
said narrows; and prodded, further, that the cost and
expense of building said bridge, as well as keeping
the same in repair, and the proper and necessary
attendance at the draw shall in no event devolve
upon Harford county; and provided, further, that the
said parties shall at their own expense provide and
keep a competent person to attend the draw of said
bridge, so as to facilitate the passage of boats, scows,
vessels and other craft through the same.
SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 381.
AN ACT to provide for the destruction of Hawks
and Owls, and to protect the class of small birds
known as insectivorous birds, in Prince George's,
Talbot and Montgomery counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be unlawful hereafter for any
person, at any time, to shoot or trap or otherwise
kill or injure, or pursue with such intent, any of the
following named birds within the limits of Prince
George's, Talbot and Montgomery counties, viz:
Robin, blue-bird, thrush, martin, mocking-bird, swal-
