The house then resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of yesterday, being,
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 82, 83, 84, 88,
87 and 89, as amended by the Act of 1862, chapter 55, and
section 94 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick
county, relating to the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Ceun-cil of Frederick City, and re-enact substitutes therefor.
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Miller submitted the following amendment:
Section 89, sub-section 1, line 1.
Strike out the words "immediately upon," and insert the
words : "Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
that within ten days alter."
The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,
