CHAPTER 323.
AN ACT to make valid the erection of a Town Hall
and so forth, over the market house in the town of
Easton, by the Easton Town Hall Company, and
to authorize the Commissioners of said town, to
lease the same to said company.
WHEREAS, a number of the citizens of the town of:
Easton have formed themselves into a company, and
have become duly incorporated under the laws of
this State, by the name of the Easton Town Hall
Company; and
WHEREAS, by and with the consent of the Commis-
sioners of said town, the said company have entered
upon the grounds belonging to said town, and erected
upon the wall of, and over the market house in said
town, a hall with two offices attached to the same; and
WHEREAS it is the wish of the said Commissioners
to give the said "Easton Town Hall Company," a
valid title to the same; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be, it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Commissioners of the town of
Easton, Talbot county, be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to convey unto Henry T. Golds-
borongh, Robert B. Dixon and Thomas Hughlett,
directors of said Easton Town Hall Company, or
their successors in office, by a good and sufficient
lease, the hall and offices aforesaid, with the rights
of ingress and egress to the same, to use and enjoy
the said hall without let or hindrance from said
Commissioners or their successors in office, or any
person acting under them, for the period of nine-
nine years and renewable forever.
SEC. 2. Am! be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
