watchman, for matches furnished for three years to
night watchmen, fourteen dollars and ten cents; to
John W. and Zadoc P. Henry, executors of Zadoc
P. Henry, deceased, for taxes erroneously paid into
State Treasury for the year eighteen hundred and
seventy, nineteen dollars and sixty-five cents; to
Anne G. Ross, for taxes erroneously paid into the
State Treasury, thirteen dollars; to" N. O. Neigh-
bours, for amount of taxes erroneously paid into the
Treasury by W. H. Laley, twenty-seven dollars and
thirty cents; to Elias Spaulding, for taxes errone-
ously paid into the Treasury, eleven dollars and
ninety-six cents.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 318.
AN ACT to enable the qualified voters of election
district number eight, of Dorchester county, to
determine by ballot whether spirituous or fer-
mented liquors shall be sold in said district, or a
license granted for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the question of whether or not any
house may be licensed in election district number
eight, of Dorchester county, of this State, in which
spirituous or fermented liquors may be sold, shall
submitted to voters of election district number eight
in said county, at the next general State election to
be held in this State, and that the ballots for or against
such sale shall have printed or written on them the
