him; and upon a final settlement with the County
Commissioners for each current year, he shall he
entitled to be paid by them the full commission on
the whole amount of State and County taxes received
by him and satisfactorily accounted for according to
law.
SEC. 47. And he it enacted, That there shall be a
County Treasurer for Prince George's county, and
that the present County Treasurer for Prince
George's county, William A. Jarboe, shall hold the
office of County Treasurer of Prince George's
county for three years from the passage of this Act,
and until a successor is appointed and qualified, and
on the second Tuesday in April next after the expi-
ration of the term aforesaid of the said Treasurer,
and on the second Tuesday in April every five years
thereafter, the County Commissioners of Prince
George's county shall appoint a County Treasurer,
who shall hold his office for five years, or until his
successor is appointed and qualified, and any person
holding the office of County Treasurer shall be re-eligable thereto, subject at all times to he removed for
wilful neglect of duty or misdemeanor in office, upon
conviction in a court of law.
SEC. 48. And he it enacted, That the person ap-
pointed County Treasurer by section forty-seven of
this Act, and the person hereafter to be appointed
County Treasurer by the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county shall, before he enters upon
the duties of his office, take an oath in due form of
law faithfully to perform the duties of Ins office; he
shall also execute and deliver to the County Com-
missioners for their approval, a good and sufficient
bond in the penalty of fifty thousand dollars, for the
faithful performance of his duty as Treasurer, which
bond shall only be approved by them upon a certifi-
cate of the Clerk of the County Commissioners
attached, giving the assessment of each person sign-
ing said bond, as appears by his assessment book
and also a certificate of the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of Prince George's county, certifying that the
within bond appears good for the penalty of same,
over and above all judgments, mortgages or liens of
