Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
Mr. Steele presented the petition of James A. Albaugh and
eighty-three others of Carroll county, asking the passage of
a bill to release sureties on the bunds of Stephen R. Gore,
late collector of county taxes in Carroll county.
Which was read and referred to the Carroll delegation.
Mr, Johnson presented the petition of Hiram Lewis and
seventy-lour citizens of Wicomico-county, to change the di-
viding line between Pittsburgh and Dennis' election districts
in said county.
Which was read and referred to a Select Committee, con-
sisting of Messrs. Johnson, Langrell and Franklin.
Mr. dark, of Baltimore City, presented resolutions of the
Board of Trade, remonstrating against the passage of any
law taxing non-resident traders.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Also,
Presented a resolution of the Board of Trade protesting
against the re-enactment of the inspection laws, as proposed
under the bill now pending in the House of Relegates.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Inspec-
tions.
Mr. Wilmer presented the petition of James A. Pearce,
State's Attorney for Kent county, asking compensation for
services rendered the State, in five cases of violation of the
Oyster Law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
Mr. Bowie presented the petition of T. H. Osbourn, L. H.
Early and others, in favor of establishing a new election
district in Prince George's county.
Which was read and referred to the Prince George's del-
egation.

The petition of A, H. Bigelow and others, in favor of tax-
ing the capital stock and property of the Baltimore and Ohio
Kail road.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
