CHAPTER 247.
AN ACT to pay Somerville Sellers, Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Calvert county, for fees due him
by the State, also for compensation for services
rendered by him at the instance of the Comptroller
of the Treasury, and for commissions on certain
money paid by him into the Treasury.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is hereby
directed, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, to
pay to Somerville Sellers, Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Calvert county, the sum of one hundred and
fifty-five dollars and ninety-five cents, (the same
being for the sum of twenty-two dollars for fees due
him by the State, the sum of fifty dollars for com-
pensation due him for services rendered at the
instance of the Comptroller, and the sum of eighty-
three dollars and ninety-five cents for five per cent.
commission on the sum of sixteen hundred and
seventy-nine dollars paid by him into the Treasury,
of which he was deprived by the accidental omission
to pay the said sum within the time limited by law),
and that the sum of one hundred and fifty-five dol-
lars and ninety-five cents be and the same is hereby
appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not
otherwise appropriated, for the purpose of making
the said payment to the said Somerville Sellers, Clerk
as aforesaid.
SEC. 2. And he it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
