LAWS OF MARYLAND.
that so far as to authorize the vote to be taken as
hereinbefore provided for, this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
SEC. 12. And be it enacted. That tills Act shall be-
advertised in the newspaper or newspapers published
in Calvert county for two months preceding the next
election to be held for members of the House of
Delegates, and be subject to the approval of a ma-
jority of all the members elected to each House of
the General Assembly of Maryland at its next ses-
sion after said election.

CHAPTER 243.
AN ACT to repeal sections thirty-three and thirty-
four, of chapter three hundred and sixty-four, of
Acts passed January session, eighteen hundred
and seventy, entitled, " Oysters," and to re-enact
the following in lieu thereof, changing the style
of the Oyster Police Board, and making the Com-
missioner of the Land Office one of said Board.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections thirty-three and thirty-four,
of chapter three hundred and sixty-four, of Acts
passed January session, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty, entitled, " Oysters," be and the same is hereby
repealed, and the following enacted in lieu thereof:
SEC. 33. And be it enacted. That the Governor,
Treasurer, Comptroller, Commissioner of the Land
Office, and the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, shall
constitute a Board, to be styled the Commissioners
of the State Fishery Force.
SEC. 34. And be it enacted. That the Commissioners
of the State Fishery Force shall have power to appoint
a suitable person to command said force, whose term
