WEDNESDAY, February 7, 1872.
The House met, 'and was opened with prayer by the-
chaplain.
Present at the call of the roll the following members :

The Speaker laid before the House the following report of
the Comptroller of the Treasury, in response to an order of
the House:
REPORT.
TREASURY DEPARTMENTT,
Comptroller's Office,
ANNAPOLIS, Feb. 6, 1972.
HON. ARTHUR P. GORMAN,
Speaker of the House of Delegates:
DEAR SIR—In obedience to the order of the House of Del-
egates, passed January 31st, 1872, and which reads as fol-
lows :
" That the Comptroller be and he is hereby requested to-inform this House what claims were adjusted by him under
the Act of 1870, chapter 475^ relating to the Oyster Police®
Boat Leila ; and, from the accounts filed under said Act,
what sums appear to be now due and to whom,"
I have the honor to transmit to your Honorable Body the-
accompanying statement, showing the amount of claims filed
and the proportion of each paid under said Act.
