LAWS OF MARYLAND.
River street, and thence running to a marked white
oak on the south-west side of the Snow Hill road,
thence north, twenty-five degrees east to the south
side of the Berlin road, then to the west side of'
Humphrey Humphrey's mill pond, where the divi-
sion line between Benjamin Parson's and Susan
Booth's strikes the same, thence -with said division
line and the same extended to the north-east branch
of George W. Parson's mill pond, thence by and
with said branch and mill pond to a pine tree at the
east end of the dam of said pond, thence across
Wicomico River, to the foot of River street, and
thence by and with River street to the place of begin-
ning; and that the commissioners of said town shall,
as soon as practicable after the passage of this Act,
cause to be made a plat of said town, defining the
limits thereof, which plat shall be filed and recorded
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Wicomico county, at the expense of said commis-
sioners.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the citizens of Salis-
bury, who have resided in the said town for six
' months previous to the day of election, and who are
qualified to vote for delegates to the General Assem-
bly, shall, on the first Monday of April, annually, at
such place as the commissioners of said town shall
appoint, elect by ballot five persons, residents and
qualified voters of said town, commissioners of Salis-
bury.
SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That the commissioners of
said town shall appoint two judges of election, who
shall be qualified voters, and said judges of election
shall appoint a clerk, and shall keep the polls open
from ten o'clock in the morning until four o'clock; in
the afternoon; they shall carefully count, after closing
of the polls, the ballots taken by them, and within
two days thereafter shall make a true and correct re-
turn of the same under their hands to the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Wicomico county, who shall
forthwith issue certificates of election to the five
persons appearing from said returns to have received
the highest number of votes, and said certificates
shall be recorded among the record of proceedings of
