CHAPTER 206.
AN ACT to repeal an Act passed at the January
session, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter
ninety-eight, entitled " an Act to prevent the sell-
ing or peddling of carriages, hacks, gigs, and bug-
gy-wagons &c., in Washington county, not manu-
factured in the State of Maryland."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an Act passed at the January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter nine-
ty-eight, entitled " an Act to prevent the selling or-
peddling of carriages, hacks, gigs and buggy-wagons,
&c., in Washington county, not manufactured in the
State of Maryland," be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 207.
AN ACT to provide for the defence of officers of re-
, gistration, judges of election, and others who are
indicted in the United States Court for alleged
violation of the Act of Congress, approved May
thirty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled
"An Act to enforce the right of citizens of the
United States to vote in the several States of this
Union, and for other purposes."
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly that indictments have been found in the United
States Court for the district of Maryland, against
sundry persons who served as officers of registration
