CHAPTER 194.

AN ACT giving the sanction of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland to the bequest of a legacy in the
last will and testament of George deaden, late of
Cecil county, deceased, to the Methodist Protest-
ant Church at Bay View, in Cecil county.
WHEREAS, George deaden, late of Cecil county, de-
ceased, by his last will [will] and testament directed his
executor therein named to invest one-half of the net
proceeds of his estate in real estate or some safe
stock, under the direction of the Orphans' Court of
Cecil county, as a permanent fund, and devised and
bequeathed the yearly interest thereon to a certain
Hannah Warburton, for and during the period of her
natural life, and at tier death, to the Methodist Pro-
testant Church at Bay View, in Cecil county, Mary-
land: therefore
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sanction is hereby given to the devise
and bequest in the last will and testament, now of
record in the office of the Register of Wills of Cecil
county, Maryland, of George deaden, late of said
county, deceased, in favor of the Methodist Protestant Church at Bay View, in Cecil county aforesaid;
and the trustees of the said church are hereby em-
powered to receive from the executor of said deceased
on the death of Hannah Warburton, of Cecil county
aforesaid, the whole amount of money devised and
bequeathed to the said church; or to receive the
same during the life time of the said Hannah War-
burton, with her concurrence and assent, and to exe-
cute to said executor a valid release therefor.
