CHAPTER 183.
AN ACT to repeal the Act of Incorporation of
Mechanicstown, Frederick county, Maryland,
passed February thirteenth, eighteen hundred
and thirty-two, " chapter one hundred and eleven,
and the supplements thereto, and section one
hundred and ninety-three, one hundred and ninety-
four, one hundred and ninety-five, one hundred
and ninety-six, one hundred and ninety-seven, one
hundred and ninety-eight, one hundred and ninety-
nine, two hundred, two hundred and one, two
hundred and two, two hundred and three, two
hundred and four, two hundred and five, two hundred and six, two hundred and seven, two hundred
and eight, two hundred and nine, two hundred
and ten, two hundred and eleven, two hundred
and twelve of article eleven," of the Code of
Public Local Laws; and also to amend the Act"
of Assembly passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter ninety-
eight, so as to make the same valid in law.
WHEREAS, By an Act of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed January session, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy, chapter ninety-eight, for the pur-
pose of repealing the former law, as set forth in the
foregoing enacting clause, and enacting the Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland, January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter ninety-eight,
in lieu thereof, and WHEREAS, under and by virtue
of said Act of incorporation of Mechanicstown, in
Frederick county, Maryland, said corporation has
been put into active and permanent operation, and
WHEREAS, since said organization, the Commission-
ers are fearful that the Act of Assembly, passed
January session, eighteen hundred and seventy, chap-
ter ninety-eight, is not such as is required by the
third article, section twenty-nine, of the Constitu-
tion; therefore
