CHAPTER 169.
AN ACT for the better protection of Partridges in
Queen Anne's county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That no person shall trap, shoot or in any
manner catch, kill or maim, or wound any partridge
in Queen Anne's county between the fifteenth day
of January and the first day of November, in each
year.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person violating
the preceding section shall pay a fine of five dollars,
for each and every offence, to the County Commis-
sioners of said county; one-half for the use of the
public schools in said county, and one-half for the
benefit of the informer; said fine to be recovered
before a Justice of the Peace of said county.
SEC. 3. And be- it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 170.
AN ACT to protect fish in the waters of Nanticoke
River from non-residents.
i SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
' Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any non-
resident of the State to take or catch fish in any
manner or way in the waters of the Nanticoke River
without first obtaining, from the Clerk of the Circuit,
Court of either Wicomico or Dorchester counties, a
license therefore, which license shall be granted upon
paying twenty dollars to said Clerk, for use of the
State of Maryland; said license shall be in force for
one year from date of granting, and shall be con-
fined to one boat or vessel therein named. Any
