the county in which the same is to be used, and the
period at which such license will expire and every;
applicant for such license, shall pay to the Clerk of
the Court of the county where such license may be
granted, and before the issuing and delivery of the
same, according to the following rates, viz: for any
canoe or boat measuring in length twenty feet or less,
the sum of two dollars, measuring from twenty to
twenty-five feet, the sum of three dollars, measuring
from twenty-five to thirty feet, the sum of four dollars,
and all over thirty feet in length, including sloops under'
Custom House tonnage, the sum of five dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take;
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 168.
AN ACT to repeal tire Act of eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, chapter one hundred and twelve, en-
titled an Act to incorporate a company to make a
Turnpike road from the City of Westminster to
the Baltimore and Liberty Road, intersecting said
road between the village of Eldersburg and the
Baltimore and Carroll county line, in Carroll
county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter one hundred and twelve of
the laws, passed at January session, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
