of the Constable to kill the dog, at the expense of the
owner, for which he shall be entitled to receive four
dollars, recoverable as for damages before any Jus-
tice of the Peace residing in the district in which
the killing took place.
SEC. 192. And be it enacted. That the sum of two
dollars be paid by the County Commissioners to any
person who may kill or destroy, or cause to be killed
or destroyed, any fox above the age of six months,
as near as can be ascertained, -within the limits of
-the aforesaid county; prodded that before the killer
of any fox in said county shall be entitled to the
aforesaid compensation or reward, he, she or they
shall present the brush or brushes of the fox or foxes
so killed to any Justice of the Peace of said county,
and make oath before him that the fox or foxes, the
brush or brushes of which are so presented, were
taken and killed within the limits of said county
since the passage of this Act; and such person or
persons shall deliver to said Justice said brush or
brushes, who shall forthwith entirely destroy the
same, and give to such person or persons a certifi-
cate for the same, showing the number of foxes
killed by such person or persons, which said certifi-
cate shall be sufficient evidence for the County Com-
missioners of said county to pay the amount speci-
fied in said certificate; provided further, however,
that no person or persons killing a fox pursued by
hounds, attended by a huntsman or huntsmen other
than such huntsman or huntsmen, shall be entitle to
the aforesaid reward, and that the oath herein re-
quired shall conform to this proviso, and that the
owner of the dog first mouthing the fox shall be en-
titled to the compensation under this Act.
SEC. 193. And be it enacted. That the money col-
lected under the provisions of this Act, shall be
applied, first, to the payment of all necessary ex-
penses attending the collection thereof, secondly, to
the payment of such sums as may be required to
carry the provisions of the proceeding section of this
Act into effect, and thirdly, that so much of the
residue as may have been collected from white per-
sons, shall be paid to the Board of County School
