Company, two hundred and thirty-seven dollars; to
Freeny and Richardson, two hundred and thirty-
seven dollars, and to John II. Handy, two hundred
and thirty-seven dollars, in full payment of their
bills for publishing the list of defaulters in the va-
rious newspapers of the State of Maryland, as pro-
vided by section six of article sixty-nine of the Code
of Public General Laws.
SEC. 2. And he it enacted, That tills Act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 137.
AN ACT to refund to the Western National Bank
of Baltimore, certain taxes paid in error.
SECTION 1. -Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State, be and
he is hereby authorized and directed, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay to the Western National
Bank of Baltimore, the sum of three thousand dollars,
being the amount of certain taxes, under the Act of
eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter four hun-
dred and forty-one, paid in error during the years
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven and eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
by the said bank.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from its passage.
