LAWS OF MARYLAND.
SEC. 22. Be ii enacted. No person shall take or
catch fish in the waters of the Patuxent River, or its
tributaries, -with any gill net or other instrument
whatever, except hook: and line, except citizens re-
siding in the counties bordering on the said river or
its tributaries, and persons authorized to do so by
the owner or occupants of the land bordering on the
said. river or its tributaries, and. any person so offend-
ing shall pay a fine of twenty dollars, and shall
forfeit the boat or vessel, and its tackle, apparel and
furniture, net, seine and fishing apparatus, and all
things on board of the said boat or vessel, at the
time of committing the offence.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 129.
AN ACT to continue in force an Act passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
three, chapter nine, entitled " an Act to incorporate
the German Union Beneficial Society of Cumber-
land."
WHEREAS, the said Act of incorporation will, by
its limitation, expire on the fourth day of Janu-
ary, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and the said
corporation has applied for a continuance of said
Act; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Act aforesaid, entitled " an Act
to incorporate the German Union Beneficial Society
of Cumberland," be and the same is hereby con-
tinued and shall remain in full force until the fourth
day of January, eighteen hundred and ninety-four.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
