CHAPTER 107.
AN" ACT to authorize George G. Michael, of Alle-
gany county, to erect two gates on the public road.
in said county, leading through the farm of the
said George G. Michael.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Mart/land, That George G. Michael, of Allegany
county, be and he is hereby authorized to erect and
keep two gates on the public road in said county,
leading through the farm of the said George G. Mi-
chael, on which lie now resides; provided the said
George G. Michael shall cause the said gate or gates
to be hung upon good and sufficient iron hinges, and
shall keep the said gate or gates in good order and
repair.
SEC. 2. And he. it enacted. That if any person or
persons shall wilfully leave open, cut down, destroy
or remove said gate or gates, lie or she shall, upon
conviction thereof before any Justice of the Peace
of said county, forfeit, and pay to the owner of such
gate or gates, a sum not less than two nor more than
six dollars for each and every offence, to be recovered
as small debts are now recovered by law.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
