for Rockville, with the Clerk of said Circuit Court,
whose duty it shall be to record the same among the
records of his office, and an official copy of said bond
shall be) evidence in any court of law or equity in
this State. The Chief Bailiff shall annually give a
bond to the said commissioners for Rockville in a
penalty of double the amount of the taxes placed in
his hands for collection, with sureties, to be approved
by the said commissioners, conditioned for the faith-
ful performance of the duties of his office, which
said bond shall be recorded among the records of
said corporation.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 93.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
for Frederick County to subscribe to the capital
stock of the Liberty, Johnsville and Pipe Creek
Turnpike road Company, the Liberty and New
Windsor Turnpike Road Company, the Frederick
and Buckeystown Turnpike Road Company in
Frederick county, and such other Turnpike Road
Companies, whose roads have been constructed
since the year eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
or now in process of construction.
SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland], That the County Commissioners for Fred-
erick county, be and they are hereby authorized and
empowered, in their discretion, to subscribe to the
capital stock of the Liberty, Johnsville and Pipe
Creek Turnpike Road Company, the Liberty and
New Windsor- Turnpike Road Company, the Fred-
