LAWS OF MARYLAND.
CHAPTER 46.
AN ACT making sundry appropriations for the
support of tire Government for the year ending
the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
seventy-four.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assemble of
Maryland, That the following sums of money in
support of the Government for the year to end Jan-
uary first, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, as
represented by the several accounts herein named,
be and the same are hereby appropriated; that is to
say:
FOR STATE OFFICERS.
For the salary of the Governor of Maryland, four-
thousand five hundred dollars; for the salary of the
Secretary of State, two thousand dollars; for the
salary of the Comptroller of the Treasury Depart-
ment, two thousand five hundred dollars; for the
salary of the Chief Clerk to the Comptroller, sixteen
hundred dollars; for the salaries of the three As-
sistant Clerks to the Comptroller, twelve hundred
dollars each, thirty-six hundred dollars; for the sal-
ary of the Treasurer of Maryland, two thousand five
hundred dollars; for the salary of the Clerk to the
Treasurer, sixteen hundred dollars; for the salary
of the State Librarian, fifteen hundred dollars; for
the salary of the Commissioner of the Land Office,
fifteen hundred dollars.
JUDICIARY.
For the salaries of the Chief Judges of the first
seven Judicial Circuits, three thousand five hundred
dollars each, twenty-four thousand five hundred dol-
lars; for the salaries of the fourteen Associate Judges
of the first seven Judicial Circuits, two thousand
eight hundred dollars each, thirty-nine thousand two
hundred dollars; for the Special Judge of the Court
of Appeals from Baltimore city, the Chief Judge and
four Associate Judges of the Supreme Bench of
Baltimore city, each three thousand five hundred
dollars, twenty-one thousand dollars; for the salary
