of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " Mont-
gomery county," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SUB-SECTION 39. There shall be the following num-
ber of Justices of the Peace and Constables for Mont-
gomery county; for Election District number one,
four Justices of the Peace and three Constables; for
Election District number two, four Justices of the
Peace and three Constables; for Election District
number three, four Justices of the Peace and three
Constables; for Election District number four, five
Justices of the Peace, one of whom shall reside in
Rockville, and three Constables, one of whom shall
reside in Rockville; for Election District number five,
"four Justices of the Peace and three Constables.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 9.
AN ACT to complete the Worcester and Somerset
Railroad.
SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the lien, held by the State of
Maryland on the property of the Worcester and
Somerset Railroad Company, to secure the payment
of six per centum interest out of the profits of the
work on the shares of the capital stock of the said
company, held by the said State, shall not be construed
to give a preference to said State over the bond hold-
ers of the said company, and said lien is hereby ex-
pressly waived, postponed and deferred, in favor of
the holders of the said bonds of said company, which
may be issued for the construction and equipment of
the said railroad to an amount not exceeding the
whole one hundred thousand dollars.
