The further consideration thereof waa postponed, and the
bill referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
January Session, 1867. chapter 98, entitled an Act to pre-
vent the selling or peddling of carriages, hacks, gigs and
buggy wagons, &c., in Washington county, not manufac-
tured in the State of Maryland,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article II. of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Anne
Arundel County," sub-title, "Annapolis," to prevent the
carrying of concealed weapons in said city,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Oounty Commissioners of Montgomery county to make cer-
tain improvements upon the Court-house buildings of said
county in Rockville, and to levy a tax upon the assessable
property of said county to pay the cost thereof,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to enable or advise the County
Commissioners of Allegany county, under Article I. of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Allegany county,"
under the head of "County Commissioners," to appoint a
County Treasurer, to receive and disburse the county taxes
under their orders, by adding after section 20 of Article I.
the following sub-sections thereto,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to amend and re-enact section 8
of Public Local Laws, passed February 16th, 1864, chapter
96, and the supplement thereto, section 3, chapter 27 of Pub-
lic Local Laws, passed 18th February, 1868, entitled an Act
A supplement to an Act, passed by the General Assembly of
Maryland, at January Session, 1864, chapter 96, entitled an
Act to incorporate the Liberty and New Windsor Turnpike
Road Company, in Frederick and Oarroll counties,
Was read a second time and' ordered to be engrossed fir
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 18 of Article
