OF THE SENATE. 899 * STATE OF MARYLAND, . EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, Annapolis, March 7, 1872. Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland: I have the honor to nominate Wm. H. Taylor and John H. Gordon, for Justices of the Peace in the Ninth District of Baltimore county, in the place of Wm. Jones and John W. Shanklin, rejected. WM. PINKNEY WHYTE. On motion by Mr. Earle, The aforegoing nominations were ordered to lie over. On motion by Mr. Williams, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of I. Gideon Ireland, to be County Commissioner for Calvert coun- ty, agreeably to the nomination of the 1st March, instant. On motion by Mr. Blake, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. MONDAY, March 11th, 1872. \ On motion by Mr. Davis, The Senate advised and consented to the appointment of Charles H. Mann, as Officer of Registration for the Ninth District of Baltimore county, vice James E. Ward, rejected; and William H. Taylor and John H. Gordon, as Justices of the Peace for the Ninth District of Baltimore county, vice William Jones and John W. Shankley, rejected. On motion by Mr. Blake, The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi- ness. MONDAY, March 18, 1872.
