248 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 2,
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
A bill, entitled an Act appropriating a sum of money to
pay Alfred J. Mobray, late Collector of Taxes in Dorchester
county, the amount overpaid by him into the Treasury.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Dorches-
ter delegation.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal an Act, passed January
Session, 1870, chapter 11, entitled an Act to repeal section
204, of Article XXI. of the Code of Public Local Laws for
Washington county, relating to Justices of (he Peace and
Constables in said county, and to amend and re-enact said
section 204, Article XXI. of the said Code, to read as fol-
lows.
Which was read a 'first time and referred to the Washing-
ton delegation.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to amend section 36, of Article
XVI. of the Public General Laws of this State, title "Chan-
cery," sub-title "Infants," by repealing the said section,
and re-enacting the same as follows.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 41, 42 and 43, of
Article LVI. of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to licences,.and re-enact the same with arnendments, and
also, to add additional sections to said Article.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.
Also,
A hill, entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and Coun-cilmen of the City of Cumberland to issue bonds fur the pur-
pose of providing for the payment of the debts other than
bonded of said city, and for the extension of water mains
throughout the portions of said city not yet provided for.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Allegany
delegation.
