The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, agreeably to the nominations of the 5th inst.

I herewith transmit to you a list of the Executive appoint-
ments made for Charles county during the recess of the
Legislature.
June 16, 1870—John H. Freeman, Officer of Registration
4th district, vice Jas. B. Latimer, failed
to qualify.
June 16, 1870—George W. Carpenter, Officer of Regis-
tration 3rd district, vice W. H. Gray
failed to qualify.
June 16, 1870—Thomas M. Posey, Justice of the Peace
3rd district, vice G. W. Carpenter, failed
to quality.
June 16, 1870—Richard W. Bryan, Justice of the Peace
7th district, vice self, failed to qualify.
June 16, 1870—Francis D. Gardiner, Justice of the Peace
8th district, vice self, fail to quality.
June 23, 1870—Marcellus Thompson, Officer of Registra-
tion 6th district, vice self, failed to
qualify.
Aug. 25. 1870—Henry M. Hannan, Officer of Registra-
tion 7th district, vice self, failed to
qualify.
Aug. 25, 1870—George W. Carpenter, Officer of Registra-
tion 3rd district, vice self failed to
qualify,
Feb. 10, 1871—Edward Bowie, Justice of the Peace 3rd
district, vice Thomas M. Posey failed to
qualify.
April 14, 1871—Samuel Henson, County Commissioner,
Vice George Taylor, Sr., resigned.
