On motion by Mr. Oarroll,
The Senate advied and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, agreeably to the nominatii)ns of the 5th instant.

Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:
I herewith transmit to you the Executive appointments
made for Allegany county, during the recess of the Legisla-
ture :

Aug. 11, 1870.—J. McOlure Mason, Justice of the Peace 10th

Aug. 11, 1870.—Sylvanus Butler, Justice of the Peace 11th
district, vice self, failed to qualify.
Aug. 11, 1870.—Edward Hoye, Justice of the Peace 14th
district, vice self, failed to qualify.
