778 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Apl. 1, AFTERNOON SESSION. MONDAY, 4 O'CLOCK P. M., APRIL 1, 1872. The Senate met. Present the following Senators: Messrs. President, Blake, Compton, Carroll, Crawford, Claggett, Denson, Downs, Dennis, Fields, Henry, Jump, Miller, Spates, Sellman, Spencer, Steiner, Timmons, Tack, Wilson—20. On motion by Mr. Timmons, it was Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims be instructed to divide between, the Rev, Mr. Southgate, Rev. Mr. Bull, Rev. Father Freitag, and Rev. Mr. Henderson, the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars in equal pro- portion, and also to pay to each one of the above named ministers the sum of twenty-five dollars each, in lieu of sta- tionery. House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claims of Bartlett, Robins & Co., Levin Woolford, Michael & Brother, Cashing & Medairy, Thomas H. Kemp, James A. Pearce, Daniel Caulk, E. B. Prettyman, W. A. Page, J. J. Stewart & Co., John Murphy & Co., and J. E. Hayden, Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, i Jump, Blake, Miller, Carroll, Sellman, Crawford, Spencer, Denson, Timmons, Dennis, Tuck, Fields, Wilson—15. Henry, NEGATIVE—No ne. "Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported favorably on The House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to the Code of Public Local Laws, Article III., title "Balti- more County," in relation to trespass. |
